Update – On March 7, 2024, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced more indictments in the death of 16-year-old Preston Lord. Jacob Meisner is charged with one count aggravated robbery, one count kidnapping, and one count of first-degree murder and/or second-degree murder in the alternative.
Taylor Sherman is charged with one count kidnapping, and one count first-degree murder and/or second-degree murder in the alternative. Meisner was already in police custody while Sherman was arrested by the Queen Creek Police Department last night. All defendants are being held on $1 million bond. In total, six suspects had been indicted.
Original Story – The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has announced indictments against multiple individuals in the slaying of Preston Lord. According to a media release, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced the indictments of four individuals in the death of 16-year-old Preston Lord.
William Owen Hines has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and in the alternative second degree murder, and one count of kidnapping. Talan Renner and Talyn Vigil are charged with the same. Dominic Turner is charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and first-degree murder and in the alternative second-degree murder.
The Queen Creek Police Department arrested three of the defendants. William Hines was already in custody. The victim, Preston Lord, was beaten following a party in Queen Creek on October 28, 2023 and succumbed to his injuries two days later.
