Manchester Police arrest man for three burglaries at the same convenience store

The Manchester Police Department reports that it has arrested a suspect in connection to a string of burglaries at the Parkside Convenient Store at 675 Hookset Road over the past few weeks.

According to MPD, there have been three overnight burglaries at the store since November 7, 2024. The suspect reportedly used a rock to break the window to get in the first time.

During the next two burglaries, the suspect pried the plywood off the damaged area to gain access to the store. MPD says the suspect was captured on surveillance video and took scratch tickets, cigarettes, and cash.

Authorities identified the suspect as 37-year-old Steven Burleigh. MPD says it arrested Burleigh at the Econolodge on November 26. Police say Burleigh had a warrant for Violation of Probation.

He was also charged with Burglary and is a person of interest in two other burglaries outside the city. Police say he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug for allegedly having cocaine on him at the time of his arrest.
