Pueblo Police Department received a report of a shooting on December 19, 2023, around 11:42 a.m. near the intersection of North Erie Avenue and East 6^th Street

Following an investigation, officers determined an adult female and an adult male were involved in a confrontation while trying to recover a stolen vehicle. At some point during the confrontation, shots were fired, striking both victims.

The suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. A short time later, officers located the stolen vehicle in the 1300 block of East 1^st Street.

The victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Pueblo Police Department asks anyone with information regarding the shooting to call 719-553-2502.
