Man using ride-sharing app beaten and carjacked by juvenile passengers in Baltimore

The Baltimore Police Department has announced that a man was beaten and carjacked by his juvenile passengers. Officers responded to an area hospital to investigate an unarmed carjacking on December 3, 2023 around 3:40 PM. At the hospital, officers located a 44-year-old male who had injuries to his head and face.

The man said he was using a ride-sharing app to pick up a group of individuals and take them to their destination, according to authorities. As the man prepared to drop them off in the 1000 block of Brooks Lane, he was physically attacked by the suspects. The man’s property and vehicle were taken by the suspects who fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Robbery detectives responded and began to investigate. During the investigation, detectives say they identified four juveniles, two 14-year-old males and two 15-year-old males. The juveniles were located and placed under arrest. They were transported to the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Facility. The victim was notified of the arrests.
