A man was shot in Swissvale around 3:00 p.m. today. The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to assist the investigation. In a social media post, ACPD said County 911 received a report of a shooting in the 7500 block of Roslyn Street around 3:08 p.m. today.
At the scene, first responders found an adult male suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. ACPD’s Homicide Unit responded to initiate an investigation.
After the shooting, detectives learned that a person connected to the shooting may have entered an apartment building in the 2200 block of South Braddock Avenue. The building was cleared and the investigation continued.
