Man in critical condition following officer-involved shooting with Tulsa Police Department

The Tulsa Police Department was involved in an officer-involved shooting earlier today following a disturbance call. According to TPD, officers responded to a disturbance call near 1700 East Oklahoma Pl around 3:30 p.m. today. A person reported that a male suspect was outside their home causing a disturbance and the caller did not want the suspect there.

At some point, the suspect and caller exchanged words before the suspect fired into the air. Once officers reached the scene, the suspect fled on foot. Officers and a K9 officer started tracking the suspect who was confirmed to be a convicted felon. The K9 Officer, the K9, and another officer found the suspect in a field near Virgin and Xanthus.

The suspect allegedly raised his pistol and pointed it at officers leading to an officer-involved shooting. The suspect was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. No other information is available at this time.
