A man has been extradited to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to face charges of Statutory Sex Offense with a Child and Crimes Against Nature. The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reports that Mathew Leblanc was extradited from Georgia on June 12, 2024.
The charges against Leblanc stem from an investigation that occurred in 2023. RRPD says Leblanc turned himself into the Nahunta Police Department in Georgia early last week. Leblanc waived extradition.
RRPD Detectives transported him back to Halifax County. Leblanc’s bond has been set at $500,000 and a court date is scheduled for June 27, 2024.
