Triana, Alabama – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a shooting in Triana, Alabama.

According to an MCSO statement, MCSO received multiple 911 calls about gunfire in the 100 block of Murphy Lane in Triana around 8 p.m. on October 21, 2024.

Deputies reached the scene and found a male lying near the roadway. Authorities say the victim was identified as 37-year-old Trayvon Deshawn Harris. The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital where he passed away.

On January 22, 2025, officials announced the arrest of 28-year-old Martavious J. Williams who is charged with Capital Murder.

Williams was already incarcerated at the Madison County Detention Facility where he was being held on a prior felony charge of Assault in the First Degree by the Huntsville Police Department.
