Madera, California – The Madera Police Department is currently investigating a domestic disturbance that turned deadly. According to MPD, officers responded to the 500 block of South D Street for a domestic disturbance around 3 p.m. on December 27, 2024.

Police say officers contacted a male and a female who were involved in a domestic disturbance. The male sustained serious life-threatening injuries, according to MPD.

He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno where he succumbed to his injuries. MPD says the female is being held at the Madera Police Department.

She will be booked into the Madera County Jail on murder charges. Authorities are not releasing the names of the woman or man at this time.
