The Lynchburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the man who robbed a Walgreens at knifepoint. LPD reports that a black male entered the Walgreens at 2004 Wards Road around 8:50 a.m. on August 31, 2024.

The suspect displayed a knife and demanded money from the worker before fleeing from the store. LPD reports that the suspect is described as a black male in his 20s or late 30s around 5’10” weighing 130 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing black pants, black sneakers, a ball cap, and a black and blue hooded sweatshirt. He was carrying a black backpack. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Bond at 434-455-6161 or Crime Stoppers at 888-798-5900.
