The Lynchburg Police Department has arrested an 11-year-old male juvenile following a bomb threat at Linkhorne Middle School on Friday morning. Around 10:15 a.m., LPD officers responded to the school for a report of a suspicious letter found in the boys’ restroom.
Authorities determined that the letter was a bomb threat. Officers carried out an investigation that led to the arrest of an 11-year-old boy. The juvenile is charged with making threats to bomb a school/structure.
LPD assures the public that there is no ongoing threat to school safety in this matter.
