The Louisville Metro Police Department has announced the arrest of a 26-year-old man in the fatal shooting of a 4-year-old. According to a media release from LMPD, officers responded to a call of a shooting involving a 4-year-old in the 800 block of South 37th Street on January 13, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a 4-year-old who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim passed away at the hospital. On February 2, 2024, the LMPD Homicide Unit arrested 26-year-old Zacari Amacher who is charged with Reckless Homicide.
