The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau is dealing with a barricaded armed suspect. The Bureau responded to assist the Compton Station. The incident was reported on January 17, 2024 around 5:01 p.m. in the 400 block of North Rose Avenue in Compton.

The SEB will assume tactical command while the Crisis Negotiation Team is attempting to contact the suspect and bring the situation to a peaceful end. Surrounding homes have been evacuated out of an abundance of caution. There is no additional information available at this time.
