The Lone Tree Police Department is currently investigating a death that occurred on Sunday morning. LTPD reports that its officers responded to a call regarding a person in crisis near the southbound off-ramp to the E-470 flyover around 9:40 a.m. on August 4, 2024.

At the scene, officers encountered and interacted with a male subject who positioned himself on the outside of the wall with the intent to fall. An officer attempted to stop the subject who fell from the flyover to the ground below.

The subject fell near westbound E-470 where he was pronounced deceased. The individual is not being identified at this time. The Douglas County Critical Incident Response Team responded to assist with the investigation.
