The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Monroe County resident following an investigation. Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports that 31-year-old William Akers was arrested on August 14, 2024.

Authorities explain that Akers is a level three New York State Registered Sex Offender. It is alleged that he failed to provide his change of address. He was previously arrested and charged with the same crime less than two months ago by LCSO.
