The Lexington Police Department is investigating a shooting. LPD reports that its officers responded to the 2000 block of Cambridge Drive for reports of gunshots around 4:45 p.m. on August 25, 2024.

LPD says a gunshot victim arrived at an area hospital a short time later. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing and no other details are available at this time.
