The Lexington Police Department is investigating a Friday afternoon shooting on North Broadway. LPD reports that its officers responded to the 1900 block of North Broadway for a report of a shooting with a victim around 6:50 p.m. on June 14, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found a male victim inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

LPD says the suspect or suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. Personal Crimes Section detectives are investigating the shooting. No other details are available at this time.
