In Lexington, Kentucky, a man was fatally shot on Friday night. The Lexington Police Department is investigating the homicide. LPD reports that its officers responded to the 700 block of Dakota Street in reference to a shooting around 8:46 p.m. on May 17, 2024.
At the scene, responding officers found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Details are limited at this time. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and release their name at a later time.
