The Lexington Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting that occurred on Winchester Road on March 17. Around 2:34 a.m. on March 17, officers responded to the 900 block of Winchester Road for a shooting. At the scene, officers located a female victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

While officers were at the scene, a male victim arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Detectives say they were able to identify and locate the suspect. On March 22, 2024, 28-year-old Mark Conley was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree. He is also charged with unrelated warrants.
