The Lexington Police Department has announced the arrest of 28-year-old Xavier Walker for Murder, Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon. At this time, Walker is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

LPD officers responded to the area of Cambridge Drive for a report of shots fired around 5:12 p.m. on September 3, 2024. At the scene, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was later identified as 30-year-old Deonte Logan.
