Leon County, Florida – The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a road rage shooting that occurred near the intersection of Old Pines Acres Trail and Bright Star Circle.

According to an LCSO statement, deputies responded to the scene around 8:15 p.m. on January 31, 2025 for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, responding deputies found an adult male suffering from two gunshot wounds to the abdomen. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition, according to authorities.

LCSO says it is believed that the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident between a motorcyclist and a pickup truck driver. The motorcyclist was injured during the incident, taken to the hospital for treatment, and released.
