Lee County, Florida – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Cruelty Task Force has announced the arrest of a man after allegedly striking and choking his dog.
In a news release, the Task Force reported that a concerned citizen provided a report. In return, LCSO deputies responded to allegations that an Estero man had been recorded “striking and choking” his five-month-old Golden Doodle named Benjamin.
Following multiple interviews and a review of the video evidence, authorities say it was determined that probable cause existed to arrest Chad Pierson Perrow.
Perrow was arrested for misdemeanor animal cruelty. Benjamin was impounded for veterinary examination.
