The League City Police Department is currently investigating a fatal accident that claimed the life of one man. LCPD says the incident occurred in the 4000 block of South Shore Boulevard on Saturday.

Around 3:08 p.m., LCPD was informed of a major collision involving a blue sedan hitting an electric pole. As officers were responding to the scene, they learned that the sedan was fully engulfed in flames.

Officers and League Fire Department personnel reached the scene and found the male driver who had been ejected from the vehicle. Around 3:14 p.m., the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

LCPD’s Crash Team is investigating the collision.
