The Lawrence Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a bank robber who targeted the Bank of America on Ohio Street. LPD reports that its officers responded to the Bank of America at 900 Ohio Street.

An alleged bank robbery had occurred around 9:20 a.m. on July 2, 2024. Initial reports indicate that a man in a black beanie cap and black mask fled the bank heading south in the alley between Tennessee Street and Ohio Street.

In a later update, LPD was asking anyone living in the area to check their home security cameras. Anyone with relevant information or video is asked to contact LPD at 785-832-7509.
