The Laurel Police Department warns the public that there will be an increased police presence at the Little Creek Apartments. LPD said in a social media post that the increased presence is a result of a shots fired complaint in relation to a large crowd in and around the area.
The scene is still active. Personnel from nearby jurisdictions have been contacted to assist LPD with crowd control and scene preservation. LPD advises avoiding the area until the investigation concludes.
