North Little Rock Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting at JKF Boulevard and McCain Boulevard. Officers responded to John F Kennedy Boulevard and McCain Boulevard around 11:49 a.m. on June 2 in reference to a shooting.
At the scene, officers found an adult male victim on the ground suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim is reportedly in stable condition.
Witnesses provided officers with a suspect description and a direction of travel. NLRPD says its officers were able to find the suspect in the 3900 block of North Cypress. 20-year-old Latarryes Bush was taken into custody and interviewed by detectives.
NLRPD says Bush admitted to his involvement in the shooting. Detectives say the incident was the result of the victim refusing to hand over a piece of his property to the suspect.
Bush is charged with one count each of Criminal Attempt to Commit Capital Murder, Aggravated Robbery, 1st Degree Battery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule 6 with Purpose to Deliver.
