The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was killed during an altercation. According to a news release from LVMPD, dispatch received a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Helen Belle Drive around 12:13 a.m. on January 17, 2024. At the scene, officers found a male suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to LVMPD, the investigation indicates that the victim had been involved in a physical altercation inside the residence with several subjects before he was shot. All suspects fled the scene after the shooting. The identification of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office at a later time.
