The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police has announced the arrest of a man accused of beating and stabbing his girlfriend. Just before 8 p.m. on December 20, 2023, dispatch received a report of a person possibly injured in the 3500 block of Mountain Valley Road. At the scene, responding officers found an adult male inside the residence and an unresponsive female who was suffering from serious trauma and stab wounds.
The male was later identified as 39-year-old Brandon Tenorio. The female victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. LVMPD Homicide detectives say Tenorio was involved in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend. During the argument, Tenorio allegedly stabbed and struck the victim with a blunt object.
Detectives also say another individual was in the residence during the incident and was not allowed to leave by Tenorio. Once the individual escaped the residence, they called the police. Tenorio was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder involving a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, and kidnapping with a deadly weapon.
