The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has announced the arrest of a woman who allegedly fraudulently posed as an attorney. On January 16, 2024, 36-year-old Cenia Poulsen was arrested. Detectives suspect Poulsen portrayed herself as an attorney since January 2022 and accepted money to file documents through the court systems.
The services included legal reviews, name changes, adoptions, and divorces. Authorities accused Poulsen of defrauding multiple victims. Detectives say Poulsen has never been an attorney with the Nevada State Bar. She is charged with various felonies, including Forgery, Theft, Prepare/Deliver to Person Simulated Legal Documents, and Offer False Instrument for Public Office Filing.
Detectives say Poulsen also worked under the name of Cenia Del Pozo and Cenia Carillo.
