Larimer County Sheriff’s Office apprehends Robert Johnson for attempted murder

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest after a man assaulted a family member. Around 6 a.m. on February 23, 2024, dispatch received a report that a man had assaulted a family member who suffered moderate injuries. Deputies responded to the 800 block of Longview Drive in Berthoud.

On the way to the scene, deputies learned the suspect had armed himself with a gun. At the scene, everyone except the suspect safely exited the residence. The suspect was contacted by phone and was cooperative. LCSO said the suspect walked out of the residence and was taken into custody. Robert Johnson is charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Menacing, 2nd Degree Assault, 3rd Degree Assault, and Obstruction of Telephone Service.
