Largo, Florida – The Largo Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a fatal stabbing near 11th Avenue Northwest and 7th Street Northwest.

According to LPD, it received calls saying a woman had been stabbed at the location on January 11, 2025.

At the scene, police found a female victim suffering from injuries. The victim was taken to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities say a person of interest was identified as 38-year-old Cyrus Jenkins who was known to the victim.

Jenkins was taken into custody without incident and booked on a charge of First-Degree Murder.
