Laredo, Texas – The Laredo Police Department has warned locals of a gun battle near the Mexican side of the river.

According to LPD, it was notified of a gun battle near the Mexican side of the river which borders the south Laredo area.

LPD is notified those living within close proximity to the riverbanks. LPD says it is monitoring the situation within various areas along the Laredo border.

LPD asks that everyone stay away from areas near the riverbanks.
