Knox County teacher Zachariah Luaie Albaba sentenced to prison for production of child pornography

A 33-year-old former Knox County School system teacher has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the production of child pornography. 33-year-old Zachariah Luaie Albaba was sentenced to two hundred and forty months.

Once Albaba is released, he will be on supervised release for his lifetime. He will also be required to register with state sex offender registries and comply with special sex offender conditions during his supervised release.

Albaba took a plea deal which saw him plead guilty to an indictment charging with him one count of production of child pornography and one count of attempted production of child pornography.

On September 11, 2022, Albaba contacted two minor boys in different locations via OMEGLE. The real-time video was located on Albaba’s cell phone. In each video, Albaba appears in the right-hand corner.

The plea agreement explains that Albaba requested each male child to engage in sexual conduct and promised to do likewise when the child had finished. One child engaged in sexual conduct while the other did not.

Neither boy has been identified.
