The Knox County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee is investigating a shooting with the victim suffering life-threatening gunshot wounds. According to a social media post from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, patrol units responded to a reported shooting at 6408 Old Maynardville Pike around 3:48 PM today.

Upon arrival, officers located a male patient with life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital. Authorities say the incident appears to be an isolated or targeted incident. The Knox County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office said a suspect description is not available at this time.
