The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for child sex crimes. According to KCSO, information about a possible child sexual assault was received with assistance from the Galesburg Police Department. The agencies carried out a thorough investigation. KCSO says the investigation revealed a suspect as well as multiple possible victims who are located throughout the state.

The suspect was taken into custody and interviewed about the allegations. Authorities say probable cause was established and the locations of the offenses were confirmed to be in the Knox County area. 23-year-old George R. Kesek was booked into the Knox County Jail on three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault/Victim under 13.

The investigation is ongoing. KCSO expects more charges in other jurisdictions.
