Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office arrests driver of Amazon delivery van following pursuit

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office says it has arrested the driver of an Amazon delivery van following a low-speed pursuit with deputies. KCSO says its deputies used spike strips to spot the van when the suspect attempted to drive off.

The suspect was subdued by deputies who used a taser and pepper gun. Around 3 p.m., a residence in the 1400 block of Northeast Madison Road called 911 to report an altercation with the suspect who allegedly threw packages from the van into a driveway.

The suspect allegedly called the reporting party names and threatened to harm animals on the property. The resident also reported seeing the delivery driver pull a firearm. Once deputies reached the scene, the suspect attempted to drive away.

A spike strip was successfully used, but the suspect continued driving east on Madison. He eventually stopped near the intersection and allegedly fought with deputies. The suspect was apprehended using a taser and pepper gun.

The suspect’s identity has not been released at this time.
