The Kinston Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the West Vernon Avenue Circle K. KPD reports that officers responded to an armed robbery at the Circle K at 2011 West Vernon Avenue around 1:37 a.m. on August 14, 2024.

At the scene, officers contacted the victim who said an unidentified black male entered the store, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

KPD investigators are currently following up on leads and attempting to identify the suspect. KPD has released a photo of the suspect to help identify him. Anyone with information is asked to contact KPD at 252-939-4020 or Crime Stoppers at 252-523-4444.
