Keshawn Stephenson charged with vehicular hijacking and armed robbery in Chicago car theft incident

The Chicago Police Department has announced that 18-year-old Keshawn Stephenson has been arrested in connection to an aggravated vehicular hijacking. Stephenson, of Chicago, is facing two felony counts of Vehicular Hijacking – Aggravated – Firearm, two felony counts of Robbery Armed with a Firearm, and more.

Stephenson was arrested around 9:53 PM on December 6, 2023 in the 3300 block of West Harrison. Authorities say he was identified as one of the offenders who took a vehicle and other belongings from a 25-year-old female and a 30-year-old male in the 2400 block of West Polk at gunpoint.

The alleged robbery took place less than two hours before Stephenson’s arrest. The Chicago Police Department said the offender was apprehended and charged accordingly. No additional information is being provided by CPD at this time.
