The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a shooting on Southwest Boulevard. According to a KCKPD media release, detectives are investigating a shooting that left a victim with life-threatening injuries. Just before 1 p.m. on March 21, 2024, officers responded to the 200 block of Southwest Boulevard following reports of someone needing medical attention.

At the scene, responding officers found an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition. No other details are available at this time.
