The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in connection to a shooting in the 5500 block of Niles Canyon Road in Sunol. ACSO deputies responded to the scene around 7:08 a.m. on May 15, 2024 after a man jumped out of a vehicle and flagged down a motorist for help.
Deputies arrived and found the victim who was suffering from injuries to his upper extremities. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Detectives from the Eden Township Substation helped locate Jesus “Morro” Gonzalez-Solis in a transient encampment in Hayward on May 28, 2024. ACSO says the suspect was known to the victim.
Detectives claim to have seized a loaded 9mm AR-15 pistol from the suspect during his arrest. Gonzalez-Solis is charged with attempted murder and several weapon offenses. No other details are available at this time.
