A man is dead following what police are calling a gang-related shooting in Anaheim, California. The Anaheim Police Department reports that its detectives are investigating a homicide after a man was fatally shot at a liquor store parking lot.
Around 7 p.m. on May 24, 2024, APD received a report of a shooting in the 900 block of South Anaheim Boulevard. Officers and Anaheim Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the scene where they found the victim unresponsive in the parking lot.
APD says 38-year-old Jesse Barragan suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, detectives believe the shooting was gang-related. Anyone with information is asked to contact APD at 714-321-3669 or Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
