Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrests 20-year-old for murder in overnight homicide

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one suspect in connection to an overnight homicide. JCSO reports that 20-year-old Chaptur Wagoner of Arnold was arrested and charged with Murder 1st Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.

The charges stem from the fatal shooting of Tomothy Geitz of St. Louis. Investigators believe that Wagoner and Geitz were familiar with one another due to a prior incident. It is believed that the shooting was targeted and there is no threat to the public.

Wagner was booked into the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
