A 19-year-old House Springs, Missouri man has been arrested in connection to a shooting at the Cedar Hill River Access. Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak announced that Hunter Kirkpatrick has been arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action for allegedly shooting a 21-year-old male victim during an argument.
Just after 8 p.m. on June 20, 2024, JCSO deputies responded to a fight in progress at the Cedar Hill River Access in the 7000 block of Cedar Hill Road. While deputies were at the scene, another argument began between Kirkpatrick and the victim.
Deputies say Kirkpatrick drew a handgun and shot the victim multiple times in the presence of bystanders and members of law enforcement. Deputies immediately took Kirkpatrick into custody. Lifesaving measures were taken for the victim.
Sheriff Marshak says the victim is still undergoing treatment at an area hospital. Kirkpatrick is at the Jefferson County Jail where he is being held without bond.
