The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of a 72-year-old man. JCSO reports that deputies responded to a shooting in the Dasher Road area around 3:15 a.m. on August 17, 2024.

Three victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds. A 72-year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital. JCSO investigators say they identified 20-year-old Ja’Quan Demontre and 21-year-old Herman Dessasure as the people responsible for the shooting.

Warrants have been obtained for both men for Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime. JCSO confirms there could be more charges. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call JCSO at 843-726-7779.
