The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced that its Homicide Detectives are searching for two suspects in connection to the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Harold Patterson. Around 4:50 p.m. on September 9, 2024, officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 2200 block of Edgewood Avenue.
At the scene, officers found the victim deceased near an abandoned residence with multiple gunshot wounds. It has been reported that the victim was hanging out with friends when they were approached by two suspects.
An altercation ensued leading to one of the suspects producing a firearm and shooting at the victim and others with him. The victim was shot multiple times. The first suspect is described as a black male in his upper teens. He is around 5’09” with a thin build and short hair.
The second suspect is described as a black male in his upper teens around 5’07” with a thin build and medium length dreads. Anyone with information is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500.
