The Jacksonville Police Department is currently searching for a suspect vehicle in connection to the shooting of a 17-year-old African American female. JPD reports that the shooting occurred at 1112 Heather Street.

Around 3:05 a.m. on June 30, 2024, JPD officers responded to the aforementioned location where they found a 17-year-old female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

JPD believes the suspect fled the scene in a white vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact JPD’s Criminal Investigation Division at 501-985-2802.
