Jackson, Tennessee – The Jackson Police Department said in a statement that it is investigating a shooting that occurred inside Slim Chickens at 6 Channing Way around 6:33 p.m. on January 21, 2025.

According to JPD, three individuals suffered non-life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds and one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

JPD confirms the shooter was taken into custody at the scene. The cause of the shooting is not clear at this time.

JPD says the incident did not occur in the dining area and no patrons inside the restaurant were involved or injured. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
