Instructor at Central Technology Center in Sapulpa and former officer arrested for child internet crimes

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a current instructor at the Central Technology Center in Sapulpa and a former law enforcement officer in Creek County has been arrested for child internet crimes.

OSBI reports that it was requested to investigate a cyber tip regarding child sexual abuse material on September 12, 2024. OSBI agents say they reviewed online files and found several explicit images.

Authorities allege that the user was identified as 48-year-old Ryan Matthew Matthias who is an instructor at Central Technology Center and a former law enforcement officer in Creek County.

On November 5, 2024, OSBI says its ICAC Task Force, the Sapulpa Police Department, and the Muscogee National Lighthorse Police Department carried out a search warrant at Matthias’ residence and workplace. Police say digital devices were recovered.

Matthias was booked into the Creek County Jail.
