Illegal immigrant juvenile in custody for stabbing illegal immigrant in the chest in Forest Virginia

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office reports that two men were involved in an argument that led to one being stabbed. Now, a juvenile is in custody and a victim is hospitalized. The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says both men are illegal immigrants.

BCSO says it received a report that a 28-year-old Hispanic man had been dropped off at the Forest Fire Department with a severe stab wound to the chest on July 31, 2024. The victim told authorities he was at a construction site off Perrowville Road.

At some point, an argument ensued and the victim was stabbed in the chest. Following an investigation, BCSO identified the suspect as a 17-year-old Hispanic male juvenile who was taken into custody in Campbell County.

BCSO confirms that both men indicated they were illegal immigrants who crossed the border through Texas. The victim was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.

The juvenile is being held at the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Center. No other details are available.
