A man was fatally shot near a walking trail at Robert C Stuart Park on Bellfort Avenue in Houston, Texas. Now, authorities have identified the victim while working to identify the suspect or suspects. According to HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen, patrol officers responded to a call about a deceased person at 7250 Bellfort Avenue around 4:15 a.m. on April 18, 2024.
Officers found an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has identified the victim as 38-year-old Jimmy Allan Goree.
HPD says witnesses described a red, four-door Ford Probe leaving the scene in an unknown direction. The motive and suspects have yet to be identified.
